Poems by John Whittier. A Victorian style edition published by Belford, Clarke & Company, New York around 1885 (no date). The cover is in bright red cloth with embossed decoration and a gilt title. The color is sunned slightly on the backstrip. There are two water discoloration marks on the left-side of the cover (pictured). The pages have a red decorative Victorian border throughout and the endpages are decorated with a floral motif. There is gilt on three sides of the foredge. The pages are stiff and mostly white with mild toning. There is only one frontispiece black and white illustration. Size: 7.5". 319 pages.
