Profusely illustrated with engravings that are hand colored with corresponding information an descriptions. There is also a Memoir of Le Vaillant a traveller and ornithologist born in 1753. There is some foxing in the book and moderate toning throughout. Many of the engravings toned the page opposite as shown in pictures. There is wear on the leather along the cover and backstrip connection. There is wear on the backstrip leather and some cracking. There are rubbed areas particularly on the back cover marble paper. There is a beautiful ex-libris sticker on the left endpage. The hinges are tight. 263 pages. Size: 6 5/8".
