An antique Whilhelm, Schiller and Sons majolica jardiniere. A beautiful antique ceramic with the WS&S maker mark on the bottom and number 204. The inside has a green glaze. There is an action illustration on each side depicting a female goddess receiving a wreath from a child. There are stalks of corn on each side of the image. The Greek god Neptune's face is depicted prominently on each side of the planter and top center. There are carved sea urchins on the base. Size: 13.5 W x 8 T x 5.75” D. Whilhelm Schiller produced ceramic majolica from 1885 through the beginning of WWI. Provenance: Bohemia, in the area of now Czechia. Date of manufacture is unknown.
